Danny’s decision to grow his hair out shouldn’t be something that lands on her personal radar. That and the fact that Mandy’d been right when she’d told him to get the full beard back. But, it’s there. It’s there, and it’s starting to make her crazy in a way she’s not keen on admitting since it’s not at all like the professional crazy-making that bounces back between the two of them every time she gets up behind the podium.
It wasn’t that long when she’d kissed him. Had been kissing him. Just how long had she kept him in the doghouse, again? A month? Probably more. Still. Her hair didn’t grow that fast, she was sure of it.
Just like she was sure she’d never seen him looking quite so rumpled. Or quite so good.
A month. That was enough of a lull, right? It was a good chunk of time, yeah. There’s no way she’d look pathetic or desperate or, well, crazy if she went back to grabbing him -sinking her fingers into that shaggy pile of curls at the back of his head -and kissing him as hard as she could, whenever she could.
No. That’d be fine. Totally appropriate. Professional.
