Thoughts on PotC3 [warning: excessive amounts of fangirling]
[warning: this post'll be long. And contained with massive amounts of fangirling.]
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE THIRD PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MOVIE.
I blame Ammay for this..this..this. The fangirling.
I loveeed it. <3 Though..the ending..;; *dosen't like non-happy endings* I didn't want Will to end up like that. ;~;
..I loved Jack's..insanity/hallucinations. xD;;
The bit in the beginning with the guy's tattoo was ingenious. And I bet that whole throwing the weapons up through the floor in singapore thing took a LOT of practice..The part where they go to rescue Jack and they're in some arctic region..that was brilliant. The acting was perfect - Tia Dalma..amazing. Her accent is incredibly hard to replicate in fanfiction, and I've only seen a few who can do it [and do it well].
The soundtrack, from the tracks that I've heard, is simply amazing. The Davy Jones song - perfect..as was the Hoist the Colors song, obviously.
I love the fact that the dog from the first movie made a little cameo in the this one.
The peanut bit..HILARIOUS. xD And seeing Jack shirtless was DEFINITELY worth it. :D
But the idea with the multiple Jacks in the beginning [and throughout the movie] was definitely hilarious.
AND THE WORDS JACK USED. "It's pronounced egregious." "..feculant maggots.." PERFEEEEEECT.
Licking the "rock"..LOLOL. Still made me giggle. xD LOLOL AND AND AND. The part with the ship..in the beginning..I seriously was thinking "OMG JACK SPARROWS SHIP IS POWERED..BY..CRABS."
Davy Jones..I cried. ;; His actor did such a wonderful job. The whole Davy Jones/Calypso thing..so sad. ;~;
They really had me thinking that Elizabeth was Calypso. They did a really good job of keeping you guessing at certain things, but other things were a bit predictable.
