There were things Adam was sure of. Like if he stuck by Alisan, everything would be okay. If he kept in touch with Kris, they wouldn't lose the friendship.
There were important moments. Like answering that 3 AM phone call, even though you damn well needed your sleep. There was being there for your dancers, and your band, not because you worked with them, but because they were friends.
So, when Sasha called, needing someone, Adam didn't hesitate. He went to her hotel room, careful not to wake Brooke, and he and Sasha sat on the balcony together.
They talked about what mattered, and what didn't. He just listened while she shared, and when she kissed his forehead before he left, it was all the thanks Adam needed.
Being there for another person wasn't about getting something for yourself, it was just about being there with them, while they endured what they had to, so they could come out on the other side.
