Your Eyes Don't Lie
Alisan couldn't quite get over the way Adam wouldn't look her in the eyes.
He was the most honest person she knew, so if he wasn't going to even look her in the face, he had to be hiding something. Only, she had no idea what. And that made her feel like a totally crappy friend.
"What's up?" she asked softly.
Alisan was about to take the stage and perform. She had hoped he would get here in time, so she could show off her makeup, and maybe get the chance to talk to him beforehand.
"They're everywhere," he confided.
"Who?"
"The fans. The paparazzi. They're always following me."
