Submission FAQ

Sep 04, 2009 10:06

A few people have asked me some questions over the prompt and submission process so I compiled a list of answers below that I hope will help. If anyone has more questions, please reply to this post and I'll add them to the FAQ.

If I'm on Team Draco, do I need to write from Draco's POV or focus my artwork on him?
It's entirely up to you how you want to include your boy! We just ask that your team boy is in your story or your art. Nothing more, nothing less.

Can my art be done in comic form?
Yes, of course. We're incredibly relaxed and open about how you interpret your art. Nothing is taboo! Digital illustration, line drawings, watercolours, surrealism... whatever your poison. We don't want to stifle anyone's creativity.

How faithfully do you expect us to follow the prompt?
Again, it is based upon your interpretation of the prompt but it would be nice if we could easily see the prompt in your work.

Is NC-17 allowed?
Yes! Just let us know when you send us your work that it is for an adult audience and we will put all the appropriate disclaimers up.

Is there a word limit for fiction?
No. The minimum word count is 1,000 words and the maximum is however much you feel you can write.

Beta-testing?
Please ensure all fiction is looked at thoroughly before it is submitted. Unfortunately, due to all the submissions, we will not be able to fix grammatical errors or spelling mistakes so we will post what we are sent.

Where do I send my finished work?
Please send all your submissions to ficadron@gmail.com in the following manner:

LJ username:
Team:
Prompt:
Rating:
Warnings/Notes:

Please remember to attach your work to this email.

What format do I have to submit my work in?
For artwork, a JPEG and PNG with the dimensions of 800x600 (or larger) is sufficient.

For fiction, a Word document or PDF.
