I was reading something which reminded me of the existence of those wonderful old "School" stories - the Chalet School, St Clare's, the vast array of Enid Blyton stuff (and of course the marvellous "Daisy Pulls It Off"); and I couldn't help but notice how well Our Heroes' names fit into that kind of world. I used to adore those books - despite being at boarding school myself, a completely different reality! But my daughter, alas, never really 'got' them.
