Admin Post - June Challenge
i guess we can call this a "2nd annual" now...
you asked for, you demanded it (well, technically, only 33/640 of you demanded it, but that's good enough for me...), so, as your diligent mod, here i am, opening the floodgates for fun and creativity, once again.
it's the Fic a Day for Fic on Demand June Challenge!
fic on demand opened its metaphorical doors on June 10th, 2004, so, for the second year in a row, we'll celebrate the joy of fics on demand with a challenge! just modifying the post from last year, so if this seems familiar... ^_~
i challenge everyone in the comm to join in the fun! but wait! you say. there's so little time to prepare!! no, no, no. that's not the point. the point is to just write something every day in june. remember, for this comm, a ficlet can really be of any length... any self-contained one shot 50 words or more is eligible. the challenge of writing something in fifty words is more fun and harder than it might seem, btw. ^_~ so this really is a personal challenge. just... write something every day for the comm. post at least one fic a day, every day in june, and "win"! don't worry about 'inspiration' or really feeling the fic. just get words on the screen, and make someone's fic dream come true. ^_^
anyone who completes the challenge will "win"... *drumrolls*
er, well, a banner. um. and bragging rights! yesh, yesh, all important bragging rights. *nodsnods* very useful on the black market.
and that's not all!!!! i said at least one fic day. the person who write the most fics also wins a... banner!!! so hey, if you miss a day, keep writing! you can still "win"!
so!! actual, like, rules...
1. you don't need to sign up for anything; if you are a member of the comm, you are eligible.
2. i'll keep track of everyone who posts fic in june. if you post a fic a day, you "WIN"!
3. if your total number of fics for the month is the highest in the comm (even if you missed a few days) you "WIN"!
simple, huh???
so! let's get ready to celebrate the joy of requesting and getting fics, and better yet, challenging ourselves to just write. ^_^

if you have any questions/comments/concerns/etc, you can comment here, or email me at trixiechick75 @ gmail.com since there are no tangible prizes, i won't post things for people who will be away for a few days in june, like last year. this was always at the heart of it a personal challenge, so don't be discouraged if you don't post EVERY day, but keep posting and writing! ^_^
