That night, Maiza Avaro did not sleep.
The ship still sailed, the ocean still carried it; he could feel the rocking in his cabin. But there were other things on his mind; largely, the knowledge he had been given.
Eternal youth. In other words, immortality.
Even if people could live forever, what about them would really change? Wonderful people would remain wonderful. Ugly people, those who harbored hate and murder in their hearts... would remain such people.
Wars would go on forever.
