Frankly, I don't think Rimudo and Takiko's strong love needs any fanfiction. The original storyline is just so... inspiring and positive that it would be like gilding the lily. Because really, would we be able to recreate such original characters? Their bond is so beautiful and complex that I wouldn't even like to try. Maybe if I were to do one, it would be based on the latest chapter. The way Takiko gave her coat to those two children... Even though she knew she had TB, and it was minus degrees outside... What selflessness! And the way that she just happened to meet Rimudo in the capitol city... Yes, you know it has to be fate. I cannot wait to read the interesting and creative new ways that Watase-sama will deepen the plot surrounding those two in the new chapters.
You forgot to mention how, no matter how swamped they are, between escaping from the Kutou army, trying not to get ripped to pieces by Shigi and Hien, trying to persuade Hagas to join the side of light and saving the poor, elderly and the children from a slow and painful death at the hands of poverty and starvation, they always manage to make time to visit the holy places to fulfill their religious obligations. Then the hold hands and sway to the tune of Kumbaya.
