More than...
Elise
Buffalo sabres/Toronto Maple Leafs
part of the 100 ways universe
Brian Campbell-Miller/Ryan Campbell-Miller

Set just after the wedding. During their first summer in their new home in St. Catherines, ON, CAN.
This is fluff. FLUFF. I NEVER write fluff... yet here it is.
you don't need to read 100 ways, but it helps. QUICK BACKGROUND for those too lazy to read 100 ways: Ryan is an alcoholic. Brian helps him through it. Brian gets traded to the Leafs. They get married and move to St. Catherines.

WARNINGS: corniness!!!! I think i needed Brian/Ryan love.

Ryan grinned, popping a walnut into his mouth and chewing it. He reached over the blanket, grabbing a strawberry. Brian was on his back, staring at the clouds above the two of them. It was Brian’s idea to have a picnic, to enjoy each other’s company in their new home, in their new backyard. Ryan moved some of the food away, laying his head on Brian’s stomach. Immediately, Brian’s hand found Ryan’s hair, gently playing with it. “So... do you love me more than....” Ryan started, scrunching his face as he thought, “Than your new ridiculous car.”

“Range Rovers aren’t ridiculous and yes.” Brian said.

“Gas guzzler.”

“Hippie.”

“Do you love me more than...” Ryan chuckled, feeling the cool breeze against his face, refreshing on the warm day, “Than your new.... teammates?”

“Without a doubt.” Brian said, laughing, “Have you seen Sundin?”

“Do you love me more than ice cream?” Ryan turned his head, trying to look at Brian’s face.

The red head’s face broke out into a huge grin, and he remained silent. Ryan sat up, jaw dropped, “You’re supposed to answer you know.”

Brian shrugged, trying to stop himself from smiling. It was an adorable sight for the goalie. He gently nudged Brian and said, “Response. I’m looking for a response.”

Before Ryan could protest, Brian sat up and quickly pushed Ryan to the ground, flipping their positions. Ryan let out a squeak, causing Brian to burst out into laughter. Through his giggles, Brian managed to catch the squirming goalie, bringing their faces close together. “I, Brian Campbell-Miller, love you, Ryan Campbell-Miller more than... all the stars above us.”

Ryan blushed slightly and said, “Good start...”

Rolling his eyes, Brian continued, dropping a kiss on Ryan’s forehead, “I love you more than... all the fish in the sea.”

Scrunching his nose, Ryan shook his head, giggling, “Closer.”

Dropping a small kiss to Ryan’s temple, Brian said, voice softer, eyes sparkling, “I love you more than... rainy day movies and pancakes.”

“Ohhh... good one.” Ryan whispered, “Warmer.”

“I love you more than...” Brian moved, kissing the top of Ryan’s nose, “Baseball in the summertime, and lazy days in bed.”

Licking his lips, Ryan smiled, thinking to the times that he and Brian just stayed in bed, enjoying being near each other, not wanting to be anywhere else in the world. His breath hitched a bit, and he said, “Warmer still...”

Brian kissed Ryan’s cheek, his thumb gently stroking Ryan’s neck. “I love you more than... I’ve loved anyone else, forever and always.”

Ryan paused, relaxing into the words. He smiled, eyes full of adoration, “So close.”

Finally, Brian brought his lips to Ryan’s, his free hand going to his hip. He deepened the kiss, as if rememorizing every detail. Ryan kissed back, sighing into the kiss. Pulling back, Brian said, voice serious, “I love you more than ice cream.”

Ryan pulled Brian closer to him, the red head tucking his head into Ryan’s neck. “Perfect.” Ryan whispered, as they remained in each other’s arms, comfortable and happy.
