Veronica Mars Fic She’s a butterfly, all saucer eyes and candy sweetness. She’s sticky sweet even, like bubblegum. She has a beautiful smile.
Her hair flies back in the breeze. It looks almost silver in the moonlight, like little bands of white light. And she’s laughing. For just a minute, you could swear she was someone else. But the moment’s gone, and you chase her across the sand. You finally catch up with her, the little nymph, and tackle her. White sand flecks her windswept hair, and you can almost taste her watermelon lip balm. She smells like daisies and rock candy, innocence and fresh air.
You hear familiar music faintly ringing in the distance and quietly take her hand to pull her up. She almost glides upwards with just a little bounce in her motion and grabs your arm, giggling.
“Dance with me, Logan,” she laughs, twirling around. She’s a regular tiny dancer, all blonde and blue-eyed and small. Maybe you should watch out for her.
“As you wish.”
You give her a spin and take command, waltzing towards the tide. She smiles up at you, and it’s electric--her smile. She spins in close and whispers in your ear, “You and I, we’re two of a kind.”
“You’re just another girl, Princess, just another girl,” you whisper back, breath catching in your throat.
“I think this is going to be our song,” she laughs, pirouetting lithely.
You can’t bear to take the happiness from her eyes. I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, Princess, you mutter softly. The wind blows your words away.
You’ve done this dance before. You’ll be her ruination; she’ll be your sweet revenge.
I’m dancing your memory away in the arms of a stranger
