Like, Tezuka and Fuji's conversation before the match. With Fuji being like: "I WANT REVENGE FOR MY BROTHER! Let me play Jirou." And Tezuka replying, "You're obsessed with your brother." And Fuji's, "What's your point?"
And Inui persuading Kaidoh to play doubles with him:
Inui: I like doubles. I played doubles until my best friend and doubles partner moved without telling me to a rival school and left me heart broken. Kaidoh: NO! I AM A SINGLES PLAYER! Inui: The doubles court is wider. You'd get your snake in. With me. Kaidoh: .....
(OK, maybe mild paraphrasing, but that's totally how it went down.)
And Tezuka's look implies, "Atobe? I can never recall his name."
After Fuji's match, Tezuka walked up to him and Fuji looked at him... but they say nothing even while everyone else is zooming around trying to congratulate him. It was a moment. I can't tell if it was a good or bad one.
And Atobe at the beginning of Fuji's match, after the explanation of his triple counters: "Fuji..." (We're fucked)
Atobe totally gets that Fuji is a freak and Jirou is doomed. OH well. Jirou doesn't mind so much. And that just means he'll get to play with Tezuka all the sooner. Right?

Kaidoh really was won over rather easily all things considered...
