Jason knocked on the door of Casey’s apartment. “It’s open,” she called from inside after a moment.
He opened the door and saw her sitting on her couch, legs pulled up to her chest. “What’s wrong with you?” he asked. “The way you sounded on the phone, I thought you were being kidnapped.”
She shook her head and pointed to her bathroom. “There’s a bug in my tub. I’m not getting off this couch until its dead.”
He laughed. “You’re scared of a bug? Really?”
“This is a big bug. It’s like the Godzilla of bugs.”
He rolled his eyes. “Chicks,” he mumbled, shaking his head as he walked to her bathroom.
After a moment he ran out of the room and jumped over the back of her couch, landing next to her then glanced quickly over his shoulder.
“See what I mean?” she asked.
He looked at her. “What? I’m not scared of it.”
“Which is why you ran out of the bathroom like a five year old girl.”
“Hey, at least I’m not afraid to get off the couch.”
“Really? Then why don’t you?”
He glanced at the floor. “I don’t feel like it.”
