Jason pressed the snooze button of the clock on the bedside table next to Casey. His arm fell around her.
“You can’t keep doing that,” she told him.
“Yeah, I can.” He moved closer to her and kissed her behind her ear.
“We need to wake up.”
He continued kissing her. “I’m awake.”
She laughed and shrugged him off. “We need to get ready for work.”
He looked at the clock. “We have plenty of time.”
She turned in his arms to look at him and kissed him quickly on the lips. “I need to go home.”
“No you don’t. I’ll drive you.”
“Other than what I wore yesterday, I don’t have any clothes here.”
“So?”
“So, I’m not taking the walk of shame through the station. Come on, get up.”
“You’re giving them too much credit, Casey. You really think they’d notice if you wore the same thing?”
She gave him a look. “Alvarez.”
He rolled onto his back and let out a breath then sat up. “Let’s go.”
