BRB sweating

I've always been what my mom called "cold natured", we both were. Everyone else in a room would be too warm but we'd be in sweaters because we were cold. I'm sure y'all see where this is going. For a little while now I've been noticing that I'm warm when no one else is. I actually had to wait outside while my husband ordered take out not too ( Read more... )

Night sweats started happening for me when I was on zoloft. They are better for me on cymbalta, but still happen sometimes. I found limiting my fluid intake close to bed time helps a bit. Sleeping in very light clothing helps. Sometimes I'm cold and hot at the same time and I find myself doing things like sticking just one foot out of the blankets to regulate my temperature.

Of course this sort of thing happens to women in their 40s and older with hormonal changes--but I suspect meds are a more likely culprit.

I actually started laughing reading this because I do the one foot out of the covers thing as well. My husband doesn't understand it, but it's nice to see I'm not alone!

I actually did briefly wonder if I was going into some weirdly early menopause but I'm only 28 so I dismissed that pretty quickly. But there was a "That can't be it, can it?!" moment.

I think you'd have issues with your menstrual cycle and also hot flashes for no reason, etc.

My husband asks if I want one or both my feet covered up if he notices I've kicked the covers off. :D

Haha! ME TOO! When I was at my parent's house over the holidays, my mom would come into the room while I was sleeping and cover that one foot up and it would actually wake me up I'd be so hot!

I have to sleep under different blankets from my boyfriend often because of our temperature differences, though for me it's the narcotics I'm on. They make my dad super cold, and me, I sweat buckets and overheat SUPER EASILY on them, but freeze to death when I miss a dose.

I don't deal with night sweats but I do the one foot out of the blankets thing too. I've been doing this since I was a little kid. :) During the summer I actually sleep with both of them out of the blankets..it's weird, I can't sleep if my feet are too hot in the summer and any other season they are too cold. Heh, can't win.
