So this might have been already asked/discussed, but honestly, I'm just to run-down to check. I went to see a doctor at a place called the Fibromyalgia Relief Center of the Bay Area & I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I guess there are 10 other locations in the country also called the Fibromyalgia Relief Center.

I don't buy it, at least not for me (could be true for some). I am a deep breather. I am a trained flutist and vocalist and know all about diaphragmatic breathing and I also do yoga and pilates - I am what I would consider a deep breather with a big lung capacity, and I don't snore or anything, either - so why do I have FMS? I wish I knew...sigh!

I've heard passing mention of this treatment, but I've always been wary of it. Random doctors throwing out 'expensive cures' for fibromyalgia sufferers is something we all unfortunately have to beware of. One thing that the fibromyalgia patients have going for them is a large community, where people can discuss what has and has not actually worked for them, apart from doctors financial interests. And for this 'cure' I haven't come across any patients who have been cured by this treatment. I would hang on to my money until there were some hardened facts.

I'd suggest finding out what their treatments are and investigating them. Also check fibro forums and groups as well as googling to find experiences with the clinic or the treatments they use.
Good luck!

Thanks for all the advice!

In my exhaustion i forgot to mention that he had a "test" where he tried manipulating my neck a bit & i sat up & my pain was reduced by half for over an hour! My mom was there too & she said that I just sat up like I was before I was in pain. She said it gave her chills!!

I'll definitely keep you guys updated if I try it out.

See, that would worry me since a common quack trick is to do something simple that works to get you sucked into their expensive regime. Most of the time the trick has nothing to do with their actual product.
