I just got turned down at the appeal stage for Disability Living Allowance. The stated reasons were that “I accept she has some pain on walking but the walking ability is not so limited as to be virtually unable to walk.” Some pain? Nice!

I’ve taken it quite badly. I desperately wanted to be approved. Now I have to go to the Tribunal stage. Have any fellow Brits successfully got through this stage? Did you provide additional information? What did you say to make them change their mind? I need to explain it’s not ‘some pain’ but really quite a lot.

In happier news, I had a doctor’s appointment today and she’s changed my Tramadol dose from 100mg every six hours, to a 150mg slow release capsule twice a day. She has also put me on Lyrica for the first time. Does anyone have any tips about either of these? Were there horrible side effects from starting Lyrica?
