Kia Ora,

I am new to this community so thought I would introduce myself. I am Amanda and live in New Zealand and have been diagnosed with fibro since May 2007. I experience pain mostly in my arms, shoulders, nek, hands and back of my ankles, with flashes in my back and hips. I have been living with the pain a year before I was diagnosed and am not on any pain treatment program. I take paracetamol when the pain is really bad but I do not take medications very well. Everytime I am on medication I usually get very sick and have terrible stomach problems. I'm not sure why this is but I've been like that my whole life.

I went to physio for a few months when my arms and shoulders were so bad I couldn't work and that was helpful to an extent. I was very sore for about 3 days after but then felt good for 3 days. I am at a loss as to what to try now. My pain flucuates but has been increasingly worse these past few weeks. I walk everyday for 30 mins and have found that sometimes this is helpful and on other days was the totally wrong thing to do.

Does anyone know of any natural treatments that have worked or diet that has helped? I am seeing a therapist to deal with my stress etc which has been great but I just don't know what else to do and it's getting to the point where I am considering medication even though I know it will be more awful.
