Dubious cure claims

I have started taking Barley Grass in tablet form (alongside Spirulina) so I was Googling the health benefits and came across a rather strange article:
http://www.yoursecretpower.com/barley_grass.htm

It was this claim that made me laugh my head off:

In fact, most chronic symptoms and health issues have a lot to do with the person having some level of dehydration. Diseases like Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Asthma, Depression, and Diabetes are all really caused by dehydration.

I figured I'd post this here for open discussion. How often have you come across "miracle claims" for foods, diets, products, and lifestyle changes that touted cures for fibro? Have you heard anything about this dehydration claim? I know there was a book written about it but I never read it (You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty).

I just find the "water cure" very dubious. Has it been discussed here before? Has anyone actually found evidence or experience with it?

Oh, and I do think the barley tablets are helpful for me. It's been two weeks since I started taking them (2 grams at night) and my joints are less achy. Not even my MSM and Hyaluronic Acid cocktail can take the ache away this well. We'll see how it goes; maybe I can keep my pain levels low for longer periods of time. Apparently barley grass is recommended for fibro specifically. No, I don't think it's a magical cure like that article claims, but I've added it to my supplement regime.
