We went to the TKD test this past Friday where our school was having it's first black-belt test. There was the one girl (10) going up for her black belt and four testing for their first black stripe on their brown belt. Those 4 are about 9 months to a year away from their black belt test.

I got to participate since they needed some other adults to be used as cannon fodder. My knee held up well, and everyone told me that it didn't look like it slowed me down at all. During the sparring it didn't feel bad at all, but the knee was definitely talking to me a little later that night. It's much better now.

This was a two hour test and the girl going for her black belt was working out during the whole thing. She had 13 katas to perform and then one that she developed herself. She did well and after it was all done, she thanked everyone for helping her out with big tears running down her cheeks. I got a little choked up too. She's been working for this for 4 years now.
