I found some great little paper flowers, and when I saw the theme for this week to be Bloom!, then I knew it was time to play. Here are the results:
This is made from targhee wool that I handpainted, then spun into a super-bulky thick and thin single. I added grass green recycled sari silk and sunshine yellow sparkle randomly throughout. She's plied with a purple thread strung with pink, purple and white flowers. She remains unwashed, because I'm afraid the flowers will disintegrate and/or bleed onto the wool. hmmm...I guess it's not that practical, but it's nice to look at!
