you know whats kind of amusing...a theory of mine...if christine and erik were not such notorious characters through generations because of various media (books, musical, movies, etc) no one would care if they were current incarnations of them or not. that goes for anything really. sometimes I don't think its much more than the notoriety of the person one claimed to be that drives such possessiveness of the idea. if NO publication of any kind had ever been made...no one would care. overall, people really don't anyways. you dont see people claiming to be ben franklin or henry viii do you? at least not visibly. connect to someone, maybe were them, thats great. but really, isn't what counts who you are in THIS life? and for those that spend all their energy trying to be the only one who could have been "insert famous name here" or having a connection to them...guess what...I've got a FYI for ya: NO ONE FUCKING CARES. When all is said and done, it really doesn't matter if you were Christine Daae in your previous life or some guy who swept horse shit off the streets back before cars.
