Forever Intertwined~ 2MIN one-shot

NOTE: I wrote this because of some creative writing prompt. Most of it I'm at least okay with, but there are definitely parts I'm unhappy with. It's how I wanted it and yet lacking in some aspects, but oh well. I might edit it later. Either way, ENJOY~

Taemin bit back his lower lip to fight the oncoming anxiety. He was sitting on a bus in the town on Feijin waiting for it to start up again before he finally arrived in Hunsaiwa to see him. It had been 15 years since he’d gone back to that town. The people, the places, he hadn’t seen any of it for so long. Any time his parents wanted to see him he flew them to where HE lived. He’d almost feared going back just because he didn’t want to ruin his memories. He could remember exactly where everything was, but something in the back of his mind told him it would be different.

“Of course it would be different. Without him, everything is different,” Taemin sighed beneath his breath.

If he ever mentioned him to he people he surrounded himself with on a daily basis, they often assumed him as friend, maybe even a relative. They never asked. They assumed. It was alright with Taemin, though, because if he told them how it really was, it would blow his ‘cover’. Not that he really cared about his cover much, but he didn’t want to break his fans’ hearts. Almost as much as he dreaded that day when he had to...

The bus jerked to a halt and Taemin’s heart nearly skipped a beat just by that. It was time to face what he’d been avoiding for 15 years.

For a moment, Taemin thought of what would have happened if he hadn’t received that letter. What would he be doing now? Well, it didn’t matter because he was doing this now. There was no turning back from here, and besides, Taemin wanted to see him very badly.

When he stepped off the bus, there was a moment where he saw no one familiar and he felt his stomach begin to drop. He didn’t come. However, he glanced over at a nearby bench and saw a lengthy man with rounded, yet defined features. The man looked like he may have been in his mid thirties and he had the look of someone who had been contemplating meeting someone he hadn’t seen in 15 years for a long time. It was Minho.

“Hyung,” he heard a voice in his head call out. It was his own voice, but 15 year earlier. Taemin wanted to call out to him that way, but instead he walked over to him and asked, “Choi Minho?”

The man turned to look at him, studying Taemin for a brief second before smile fell on his face and he got up from the bench. “Ah, it’s you, Taemin!” They exchanged a hug like people whom were once close would, but anyone watching would only assume them to be friends, perhaps relatives.

“I’m glad to see you. It’s been a long trip. I’ve traveled the entire length of the country for this visit.” Taemin teased.

“Yes, Taemin, you think I don’t know?” he gave a small laugh, “Let’s get going, shall we?”
    “Yes, I’m starving.”

~

Taemin and Minho had hopped into Minho’s car and took off toward the elder’s house. It wasn’t a long drive, and it gave them plenty of time to do a small amount of catching up before they arrived. Taemin told Minho how it was in ‘the city of stardom’ and about some of the most interesting people he’d met.

Minho kept interested and asked lots of question, “What would you say is the best part of being so famous?”

Taemin laughed a little before replying, “I think you know my answer. The food, of course.” They chuckled and Taemin turned the table to ask Minho a little bit about his life, “So, how is your wife?”

“She’s good. Her name is Hyuna and we’ve been married for eight years. We have two kids, Taehyun and Eunmin. Taehyun is four and Eunmin is six,” Minho explained.

“Wow, you didn’t tell me you had kids!”

“I wanted to keep the letter short, you know?”

Taemin’s smile faltered for only a second, “Yeah, I understand.”

They arrived at the house and went on in. Immediately they were greeted by two very excited children, the mother rushing in behind them before they clobbered their father and his guest.

“Hello, welcome to our home,” Hyuna  said while catching each kid by the back of their shirts. “Calm down, kids, and say hello to daddy’s friend.”

“Hello,” both children chimed in unison.

“Hi, nice to meet you both, and you,” Taemin directed first at the child and then to Hyuna.

“Hyuna, kids, this is Taemin. Taemin, this is Hyuna, Taehyun, and Eunmin,” Minho introduced them both in a polite fashion.

Hyuna put on a warm smile and clapped her hands together, “So, nice to meet you. It’s very weird because I’ve heard a lot about you. Anyway, I hope you’re hungry because dinner just finished cooking.” She made her way behind both Taemin and Mino, “Please, both of you go and sit down at the table. I will bring the food out. You too, kids.”

“Are you sure you don’t want any help, babe?” Minho asked as he was being forced toward the dining table.

She insisted, “No, I'm completely fine. Go sit,” and then she hurried off to the kitchen.

Throughout all the hustle and bustle that took place, Taemin’s mind went a million different places. First, Hyuna was a very pretty girl. She also seemed to have a very beautiful personality. He felt extremely happy for Minho because of this, but couldn’t help but feel the tiniest ounce of resentment. Second, he’d wondered what Minho had told his wife and what he found better left unsaid. From the way she spoke, she seemed as ignorant at those whom he surrounded himself with. For that, he felt a bit of pity for the woman. Thirdly, he wondered what they were going to eat because he was legitimately starving and Taemin loved to eat.

When everything calmed down and everyone, including the busy-bee wife Hyuna, sat down at the table, they began to eat and talk of past events. These topics included, but were not limited to: kids, Taemin’s career, Hyuna’s family, how busy Taemin was, Minho’s job, and how marvelous a cook Hyuna was. It was all very easy-going conversation. However, with each conversation, it became more and more evident the things Minho hadn’t told his wife. It wasn’t difficult for Taemin to avoid telling her things she didn’t know because he refused to bring up anything unless Minho or Hyuna brought it up first. Though, he wondered how Minho had been married to her for eight years and she still remained in the dark about so much that made up Choi Minho. The Minho he remembered.

Before long, dinner was over and so was dessert. They only sat in digestion for a while before Minho made a suggestion to Taemin about going out for a drink.

“Yeah, I’d like to see some more of the town too. It’s been so long,” Taemin replied.
“Alright,” Minho jumped from his chair, “Hun, we’re going out for drinks. Might be back late, but don’t wait up.”

Hyuna came and gave her husband a kiss on the cheek, “Okay, babe. Be safe.”

With that, the two went to Minho’s car and drove off to roam the town.

~

After the tour, they settled themselves at a tiny little bar that they used to talk about going to when they were old enough. Even though Taemin left before they could, it seemed like the right place to go now that he was back. They both sat on a bar stool, a beer in hand. It was in these moments that they would stop talking in formalities and get to the real conversations, what they really wanted to say.

“So, when are you going to have to go back?” Minho questioned.

“Well, I planned to leave tomorrow morning. Maybe the evening, but I have schedules built up for the day after tomorrow, so I really can’t stay long,” Taemin sighed. He was a very busy man.

“I suppose that’s probably for the better.”

Taemin felt a little achy, “You don’t want me around that much, Minho?”

“You’re the one who left in the first place,” Minho took a swig of his drink. “Besides, you and I both know it’s a bit pretend, yeah?”

“You made it pretend. You could have told your wife, but you chose not to. What does that make those eight years?”

“I love her,” Minho said. “She’s probably one of the best things that ever happened to me.”
Taemin thought on that for a while. “You’re right. She probably is one of the best things that ever happened to you. She’s a wonderful woman, but you know it’s wrong.”

“Is that how it is for you and that actress? Was her name Sulli?” Minho raised an eye-brow.
Taemin gave a sarcastic laugh, “Please, do not compare my ‘relationship’ with Sulli to your relationship with your wife. Your wife definitely means something to you. As for me, Sulli isn’t even really my girlfriend. It’s a famous person thing. We ‘date’, but we don’t actually date that person. Plus, I would never be able to screw a woman. That’s why it surprised me when you said you had kids.”

“Well, I’m not you.”

Taemin looked at Minho, “We’re gay. You know you are as much as I know I am. It’s not something that you can just wake up one day and say, ‘I'm cured’. It’s a part of who we are.”

“Maybe I was never gay,” Minho thought out loud. “Maybe it was just you.”

They both stayed silent for a while after that. Taemin played with the bottle cap of his beer trying to figure a way to stop feeling so confused. He hadn’t felt such regret in his life. Even when he first saw Minho and ate dinner with his family, he didn’t feel bad at all. It was almost like something that just hit him. What was the purpose behind leaving Minho again? He couldn’t remember. He hadn’t remembered when he first got on the plane to go to the city, but somehow made himself forget for all these years, until now.

Taemin was so lost in thought that he wouldn’t have spoke another word for hours. Instead, it was Minho who started the conversation again. “You remember what my father used to always tell me a long time ago, back when I would come to your house really angry at him?”
“I think so... something like...” Taemin started.

They said in unison, “If you find a good girl, never let her go. Regardless if you love her, you will learn to love her.”

“It was when we would fight about me being with you. Do you know how happy he was when I married Hyuna? Or how happy he was when my children were born? I don’t think I’d ever seen my father truly proud of me until that point in time,” Minho reminisced, leaning his elbows on the counter.

“The need of acceptance is a strange thing. I am really happy for you, Minho. Don’t think that I came to tell you your relationship is fake. It’s real, but you’ll never love her the way you loved me. I think even you know that,” Taemin said.

~

Taemin felt himself being pinned against the wall by an all-too-familiar body. They had decided they would go to a hotel for the night. The minute they walked in the door and locked it, it turned into this. Kisses were being trailed down Taemin’s neck as he took in the scenery. It was dark in the hotel room. It seemed like any other one he’d been to. There was a bed, a TV, a coffee maker, a desk, a bathroom, a bucket for ice, a bedside table, plus other hotel-like items. It really was like every other one he’d ever been to, but for his sake, he etched every detail into his mind so he could never forget this moment. Most likely, it would be one of the last he’d have with Minho.

Speaking of Minho, he was now working to get Taemin’s shirt off. The younger boy easily complied and then brought the elder’s lips back to his mouth. Somewhere between the wall and the bed, Minho’s shirt also disappeared. Taemin felt himself run his hands down Minho’s chest and further, tracing Minho’s belly button, before beginning to battle the buttons on his pants.

Minho smacked his hand away, grabbing Taemin’s wrists and putting them above his head. “You know I always get to go first, Taeminnie.”

Taemin felt his stomach clench and unclench in excitement at the nickname. It had been too long. Why did he leave again?

Anyway, Minho unbuttoned the younger boy’s pants and pulled them down while leaving small kisses at the line where his boxers started. This drove Taemin wild, of course, so he let out a breathy, “Hyung.”

Minho’s eyes shot up at Taemin, only looking for a moment. In the next, he was face to face with Taemin planting sweet kisses on his neck and face over and over again. “Call me that, please, call me that again,” Minho begged.

Taemin obliged and Minho let his hand travel down Taemin’s stomach and graze over his hardened member, which still remained covered, to both their annoyance.

Minho got up and began to take off his own pants as Taemin leaned on his elbows to watch the scene. Minho’s body was perfect. His stomach and arm muscles were to die for, but his lower body was well-shaped too. Then, his eyes landed directly on Minho’s hardening bulge. He wanted that inside him. The only thing that stopped them was the two pieces of fabric on their lower halves. However, they were quickly lost, never to be seen again.

And then they were together again. Lips moving in unison while their bodies were pressed up against one another, members making contact again and again.

“Hyung, I need you, now,” Taemin breathed into Minho’s ear.

Minho gave one last kiss to Taemin before he began to prepare his lover for what they both wanted. “Almost ready,” Minho noted out loud as he got more and more excited remembering how tight Taemin always was. Taemin was definitely the best Minho ever had.

“Hyung, I think I'm okay. I can’t wait any longer,” Taemin whined.

Minho removed his fingers, but before entering, he put his forehead against Taemin’s, “Lee Taemin, I love you. More than you’ll ever know. More than you ever did know.”

Both feel their hearts crack a little and Taemin replies, “I love you too, Choi Minho. I always loved you, always will love you.”

They meet in a passionate kiss and then Minho inserts himself fully into Taemin. At first, there is a slight cry of pain from the younger, but as Minho kisses his lovers tears away, Taemin adjusts. He then reaches up to wipe Minho’s face dry as well, because they had both begun to cry.

“Hyung, make love to me.” Taemin asks and Minho complies with a passionate kiss and begins to pump in and out.

Taemin can feel himself quiver as Minho immediately finds the right spot and he yells out in response, “Hyung... ahh... you remembered.”

“God dammit, Taemin,” Minho cursed from the immense pleasure he was feeling. “Much tighter than I remember...”

As they continued, Taemin kept moaning, whether he was actually saying something or not, there was a continuous amount of pleasure-filled noise coming from his mouth. It was driving Minho crazy. He’d forgotten how vocal his past lover could be and how much it turned him on. In return, he made a grunting noise every few thrusts which drove Taemin just as crazy.

As they became closer and closer to reaching their ends, everything became faster. The noise, the thrusts, the kisses. It seemed like everything was about to explode.

“Minho-hyung, I’m definitely about to... I’m gonna... I’m gonna...” Taemin was cut short by the largest shot of pleasure he’d ever felt in his life. He took in a sharp breath before moaning out as his seamen spat onto his and Minho’s stomach.

At that, Minho quickly followed, yelling, “Taemin-ah,” before releasing his seamen into exhausted boy below him. He felt a tiredness wash over him and he pulled out to lay next to the sweating boy.

Taemin felt Minho’s arms wrap around him and for once in a long time, felt like he was in the right place. He was safe and secure and had nothing to worry about as long as he was with Minho. “Forever with Minho-hyung,” Taemin mumbled to himself before drifting off.

Minho nuzzled the back of Taemin’s neck, taking in his sweet smell before he, too, drifted off to sleep.

~

All good things must come to an end.

Minho thought about this statement as he lay in this comfortable bed that could not possibly be his own and felt the sun shining down on him beyond his closed eye lids. He didn’t want to open them for fear of what he may see. He wasn’t sure what would scare him worse, if Taemin was there or if he was alone. He wasn’t sure if he could face the reality that he had cheated on his wife of eight years to whom he’d had two children with. He definitely wasn’t sure he could look at his kids and wife and not feel ashamed for the lie he’d been living for so long. But he wouldn’t tell them. They never had to know.

When he finally did open his eyes, Minho was alone. The only sign he hadn’t only dreamed Taemin was there was the small note attached to the coffee pot. Minho got himself out of bed, grabbed the note, and sat down in the provided chair before he began to read the note.

Dear Minho,

You have your life and I have mine, but forever we’ll remain intertwined.

Love always and forever

Taemin~
