On Deathly Hallows Part 2, and the end of an era.

Ten years ago, I went to the cinema to see Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for the first time. In an hour, I'm going to a midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. During the intervening years, there's been three more Harry Potter books and six more movies and I've been in line for them all. When the first Harry Potter film came out my little sister wasn't even in high school yet, and now she's a university graduate.

In some ways, it feels like a lifetime since I first stood in line to see Hogwarts brought to life on the screen, but I still remember that sense of excitement and anticipation I felt ten years ago at The Philosopher's Stone. And I feel the same excitement and anticipation tonight, as I count down the hours until I take my seat in the cinema for the end.

Thank you for everything, Harry. It's been a wonderful journey.
