Okay, I laughed quite a bit at this, even though I sort of felt sorry for Sam. How humiliating!

I do, however, think I'm missing out on a joke, somehow, because I don't know who Anita Benson-Smith is. (Some part of me is convinced Brian from Spaced is somewhere in the crowd at that exhibit, by the way, time difference be damned!)

No missing out on joke - Anita Benson Smith is fictional (though she does have the sort of name to do strange installation art, imho!!!)

And yes, definitely. Though Brian, of course, would've hired Sam to string him up.

*nods*

I think Sam is resigned to it all, by now. Somewhat.

Her name sounded so not fictional, if you know what I mean?

And you're absolutely right, Brian would have hired Sam to string him up! When I thought of Brian doing this exhibit, I went "Well, he'd do it himself, wouldn't he?"

Anita Benson Smith should be ashamed of herself, though. She could have warned him, at least.

Her name sounded so not fictional - I'm taking that as a *massive* compliment, if you don't mind!

I believe that Ms. Benson Smith was of the opinion that to warn Sam of what was to come would spoil the reactions that play across his body and the little you can see of his face. The plaque in front of the tableau reads 'Just before the whip'...

Ack! *spits tea*

This just fits in so well with my views on "installation" "art". I love it.

Of course, I'm trying not to imagine Sammy's feelings here; I suppose he's beyond shame and embarrassment by now, but from my position in the middle of writing the Survival series his reaction in my head would be quite something!

Brilliant, thank you.

*grin*

And my views on 'installation art', believe me!!!

After some of the things poor old Sammy has endured in his year as rentboy, to be honest, this is just an easy way of having a week off!

Oh, trust you to lower the tone!

Oh, sorry, that's not really possible here, is it? *Tries not to imagine the actual installing part of it*

Howya doing, big boy?

So, is this a fully interactive installation? *eg*

I'll take the blame for this, happily. Poor Sammy, I do hope Mapplethorpe isn't in the audience with his camera.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I didn't want to be so cruel as to make the exhibition 'hands-on'. It is a *public* venue, after all. But, you know, I'm sure private viewings are available, where you're much more able to get up close and personal with the exhibits.

*fans self*

Damn it! I read the title on this and thought oooh Sammy as an artist's model! Close but no cock ring cigar.

Why is this oddly charming and why did I giggle? *eg*

It is strange to think of this as pyschologically damaging as compared to some of the other things that have happened to Hookerverse!Sam but...

I pretty much loathe installation art, so Bravo and thanks! ♥

I confess I wrote it as a response to *my* opinion of installation art. Which, I figure, is pretty much identical to yours...

Thanks!

You know, I have a friend that does installation art... I'm going to have to see if she can track me down a Sammy...

And this, this is hilarious! Your mind goes to the strangest, darkest, and most wonderful places, you know...

I think I'm blaming the wine for the piece. (Assuming I drank any, that is...)

Thanks!
