Well, I've got lots of bunnies bouncing in my head, interbreeding and generally being weird. Some of them, however, I just know that I'm not going to deal with. So, in the interests of inspiring fic, I would like to offer these bunnies to anyone who wants them.
Oh, and bring your own unwanted bunnies to the table as well - just in case someone else fancies the look of one of them - I'll update the post with any folk bring.
1. Cross-over with Quantum Leap.
Sam Beckett leaps into Sam Tyler and saves little Sammy from certain death. There's an amusing twist at the end of this, but being an amusing twist, we'll only let the adoptee know about it.
2. Tools of the Trade
This is a challenge fic, but the challenge is defunct, so I don't feel too guilty about passing this one along - Sam Tyler finds a box filled with five things - a gun, a card, a bottle of pills, a notebook and a tape recorder in 2006. Possibly ties in to his leap of faith.
3. Charity
Well, actually, probably all three virtues. I got bogged down in this, but I'd still love the tale to be really told. Maya is kidnapped as we know, but it's an old Sam Tyler. The first two are here:
Faith and
Hope. I can quite happily sic anyone who wants to adopt this the half-written script for Charity. (Or not, as the case may be...)
4. The Simms. Huge cross-over fic (LoM/DW/SoP/The Lakes etc.)
DCI Sam Tyler, scared by his near-suicide, transfers to the Met where he meets DCI Bell. When a young scouser called Danny Kavanagh attempts to tell the police about some 'weird shit' going on and they don't listen, he instead goes to the papers where journalist Cal McCaffery is investigating the rise to power of a certain "Harold Saxon".
5. Psycho!Sam fic
It's probably a cheat to put this one up here, but we always need more psycho!Sam fic. This is one I adopted from
hmpf, so I'm not at liberty to let it go completely, but if anyone has any ideas about it, I would be happy to co-author something. Or, of course, if you're *inspired* have a go!
Sam's mind has begun to fracture, and even he doesn't know what is right any more. He's haunted by the sight of blood on his kitchen floor and haunted by a man in the shadows. When Karen Smith is found murdered it doesn't take long for CID to realise she was an informant of one Sam Williams of Hyde. Past, present and future all collide as the man finally steps out of the shadows.
6. Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) Sequel to
Life is a Dream - Sam can’t remember kissing the Guv.
Can't get to grips with this one at all - so if anyone wants to write the continuation, I'm happy to pass it on.
