What?! A happy ending to Hookerverse? I didn't think it was possible. I mean, oh man, I was definitely expecting the worst. But you...you free our favorite rent boy and Gene doesn't die and even Sukey gets a better job?

Either you really are filled with fluff underneath that evil exterior, or this isn't Fi & Andy at all...

We realised that he was going to get away about four months ago and have been steadily drinking ever since to try and avoid remembering it!

I thought we were a middle-aged bloke in a string vest in Sunderland?

I just read the entire Hookerverse in one go (minus the crossovers, I've still got to read those) and I just want to say... wow. This is so good. I would say more, but I'm not sure I'm entirely coherent right now.

Crikey. I'm not sure *I* could do that!

Thanks! And incoherency is a usual side-effect of reading Hookerverse, so consider yourself fairly normal!!!

In one go? You poor masochist!

Glad you liked it, if liked is the right word. And thank you for sticking with it.

It wasn't that hard to read it all in one go. A bit mind blowing, but that's all right.

A HAPPY ENDING? A total, sunshine and puppy dogs HAPPY ending?

In the event of a sudden change in cabin pressure, an oxygen mask will drop from the overhead compartment.

**breathes deeply**

Go ahead, admit it, in the sequel you are never going to write, Sam is robbed of all his money and ends up prostituting himself to rich tourists on holiday. Hambel, maybe your housekeeping money might come in handy after all.

I love your ending even if for some strange reason, I am a little sad that Sam is banished from Manchester and the Guv forever.

How can I even thank you for this wonderful, twisted, demented ride that has made me so happy to read.

I love our readers.

They complain like mad that we're mean to Sam and then when we finally relent and give them what they're asking for, they all complain about that too!

*dies laughing*

Admittedly, your reaction is pretty much identical to ours when we realised that it was going to have to be that ending.

Technically, as Sam and Gene never get to express their obvious obsession for each other, I'd call it a bittersweet ending, but hey. The more happy endings we're blamed for, the less we actually have to write!

*g*

Who said that we weren't going to write it, eh?

(Actually, in one discarded sequel, Sam ended up running a bar and brothel down in Mexico. Because it's so good to see characters squirm when they become the thing they dispise...)

Thanks for sticking with it. Even if we had to corrupt you first!!!

Heh.

True to form that Sam should give himself a Happy Ending (of sorts).

Awesome! Congratulations on constructing a vivid and detailed world, both of you! And for managing to write a story that surprised and delighted on every turn.

But modified.

I am *so* relieved it's over, even if I'm going to miss the insanity. Andy keeps on going "ooh, I've got an idea for the next series" and I point out that we never intended to write any series at all!

And thanks to you for all those challenges that kept on *ahem* inspiring us.

We're sorta sad too. But quite relieved.

Thanks for reading and liking it. We hope we didn't corrupt you too badly.
