Some turn-of-the-decade thoughts.

A few things. This resolution which, granted, covers a pretty large umbrella (my whole life, essentially, which is intentional), is going to be the focal point of each of the next 365 days:

I will make a concerted effort to have a good, satisfying year all around - personally, professionally, academically, and musically.

I'm going to try, at least.

Secondly, and far less commendably although certainly worthwhile, my last meal of 2009 consisted of 20 Tostitos Pizza Rolls, half a bottle of Korbel, and a can of Miller Light. Not to mention the rather large "shot" of what tasted like hummingbird feed poured for me by Casey's mom.

So. We're four hours and sixteen minutes into the year 2010 and I feel okay. Obviously the change from 11:59pm, 12/31/09, to 12:00am, 01/01/10, isn't anything tangible, but more than ever I'm trying to think of it as a new start. I didn't think about any of this until after the fact, but I'm okay with that and I don't think it really matters, anyways. What matters is that I have a place to start.

On that note, I think I'm going to go find some water, take a bath, and read a little before I go to bed. Sleep in on 01/01/10, but not egregiously so, and then start the year positively and productively.
