A 22-year old from Moscow was sentenced to a one-year community service for treating animals cruelly.
The guy got drunk and ordered his dog to attack the stray puppies that lived near his house. The dog killed two and the guy killed the other two.
There is a clause on animal cruelty in Russian legislation, but very few precedents so far. And strange policies regarding stray animals - neuter them or kill them or what?
I am for neutering, have seen enough unwanted litters and stray cats in my life.
But dogs - even if neutered they still can be aggressive, I was attacked by a bunch of strays in Moscow some years ago.
