Sooo, what's happening now:
1. I have got a mouse in my apartment, this is very disturbing, as it was making noises and basically I'm afraid of it running aroun the flat infecting it with God knows what. Also I'm scared of the thing itself. I have seen it twice already and both times it was me screaming and jumping almost on the table (if I try to be rational, there's nothing to be scared of, the mouse is enough scared of me...). I bought some poison, it ate everything and now I am concerned that it might die somewhere and start smelling. Should have got a mousetrap instead
2. I have got problems with my stomach. What started as a flu appeared to be stomach ulcer (duodenum in fact). I am feeling better now, lots of pills, lots of visits to the doctor, and a very blad diet (oatmeal, bananas, weak tea, etc.) I was very upset with myself and with doctors as they couldn't understand what was going on (I had a high temperature and very bad blood tests, lots of leucocytes), but they couldn't understand what was going on before my stomach started to ache like hell. Anyway, I feel better now, next visit to the doctor is on Wednesday and another blood test tomorrow. The main thing is not to worry and take things easy :-))
3. My sister is coming over next Saturday to start preparations for her PhD exams. there will be two of us fighting the mouse!!!
Maybe I'll have a chance to go to the UK in October, which would be very cool.
Have been reading a very interesting book on history of London - describing the 18-th century city, people and their way of life. People washed very rarely and knew very little about hygiene.
