On a lighter note
I saw Watchmen not once but twice. Friday night because I was bored and couldn't wait, then the next day because I'd offered to spring for M and his wife K's tickets... hadn't seen them in months and K's birthday had been the week before so I figured it'd be a nice birthday present. It was good, but unless you're a fan of the graphic novel or into super hero deconstructions, it's Too Fucking Long.
There were trailers for Star Trek and Terminator as well. Both left me leery, I'm now wondering how much time they're going to waste on Teenage Kirk, as well as just how much of Terminator is going to be shot with a jerky hand-cam and then post-processed into monochromatic hell.
I was impressed they kept the "Dr. Manhattan walks around naked" trope, but he went from Statue of David to "Shower, not a Grower". And yes, it would have been just as distracting if the girl had run around topless for the same amount of time. More fappable, but stll distracting.
And did anyone else notice when they were going through Ozymandia's computer files, his secret plans folder was right beside a folder labeled "boys"? Ewwww... and you'd think the world's smartest man would have had better encryption than a "RAMSESII"
