I found myself this afternoon telling my dad over lunch how much I love my UCLA friends.
Every time I head back over there, I returned refreshed and mentally invigorated.
Well this time was no different.
On Saturday I went down to the chapel for Chris & Faith's going away party, at which I had the chance to catch up with Tabitha and Roxanne. We all decided to head back to Roxanne & Marie's for wine and a girls' night. As I look back on that night I picture the four of us and just think "wow... look at us. One is a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, another one is in the Film industry editing, one is a future doctor (just starting med school) and here I am the future lawyer starting law school in a couple of weeks. What a group."
Then the conversation was amazing. We discussed everything from the democratic presidential candidacy hopefuls, why Hilary won't get the female vote, why the society is in the state it is... is it the corporations' fault or the shareholders or or or? Why the female role of being wife and mother is looked down upon, because of this capitalistic system that doesn't value the family, what do to???! OOOOH man.... up until like 1am just talking and talking and talking, all different perspective, all intelligent educated women from very different backgrounds!
Ah brain food.
Every time I have an experience like that I realize how much I've missed being at UCLA/ being at school.
I can't wait to start law school!!!
I've been lacking appropriate mental stimulation.
