Kimberly and I were chatting, and here's what we talked about regarding the whole Draco-Harry situation:

TwilightinViolet: Well...the one big significance of Harry disarming Draco is that by doing so he became the rightful owner of the Elder Wand...

singlemaltsly: *nods* True, and if we keep that he saved Draco DURING the war...
singlemaltsly: that might help

TwilightinViolet: I'd be willing to throw out that plot point otherwise, but since we're looking at keeping the existence of the Hallows...
TwilightinViolet: Yeah. I'd be up for keeping that. And Draco and Narcissa's covering for Harry as well.
TwilightinViolet: Which I think would be another reason for them to not be such bitter enemies anymore.

As for Harry, obviously there are several HUGE events that happened to him during Deathly Hallows that really shape his character...I guess the question is, what can I keep and what should be thrown out?

Did the "Battle of Hogwarts" happen? Did the showdown between Voldemort and Harry as witnessed by the school happen? (In other words, are we modifying that part in the game's history--particularly since we are thinking about keeping the Elder Wand and other Hallows?) If the Resurrection Stone is still lying in the Forbidden Forest, are we keeping Harry's death and rebirth? Does that mean that those who were present for the Battle of Hogwarts are still under the protection of Harry's sacrifice?
