I could write an essay on this question-it’s hard to even sum it up in a nutshell. DBSK changed me in ways no other band has done. I first became a fan during my HSC year and I was sinking in low confidence levels and stress. My social phobia disorder was getting really bad. It didn’t help that I had a psychopathic ex-friend verbally attacking me as often as she could. So in that year I really depended on DBSK’s music to pull me through and relax me, and I depended on their amazing interactions together to fight my social phobia.
I saw JaeJoong’s flaws and how he constantly overcomes them and always tries his best at everything he does even if he knows he’s gonna fail. It really encouraged me to try my hardest and accept that I’m not going to be able to do everything perfectly. He really became my role model. In fact, all of their hard work became my own inspiration to get through the HSC.
Then of course, when I noticed YunJae existed, they started becoming my ideal relationship and showed me that true love can exist and when you are lucky enough to find that other person it is all worth the wait and prior obstacles.
When I entered university I had other mental health problems diagnosed and was in a really bad state, and once again, DBSK’s music and personalities were like a beacon of light for my life. I feel like they have been apart of my life’s journey and walked the path with me. They taught me so many things I can’t even begin to summarise here. As idiotic as it sounds, they are more than just a band to me.

2008 was probably when I really got into them. Saw a few MV from friends who liked them and I was hooked.

They were popular when I was a kid, so I don’t have many memories. But I remember “To The Moon And Back” was playing on the radio when I was going on a family trip and I had a good day that day… lol

Oh, he is a musical genius, so there are many songs that tug at my heartstrings!! “Rain” and “Seki Ray” and “オレンジの太陽”

How did you become a fan of 10? [Savage Garden]
I heard their songs a lot on the radio as a kid, and like Darren Hayes’ cool long hair. Now as an adult I find their songs still suiting so I’ve stayed a big fan. ^^
