Holiday... what holiday?
I have about... zero... holiday spirit.
No complaints, mind you, since I've pretty much done this to myself. Got rid of religion and many other convenient illusions people keep for "social binding" purposes a long time ago. Bid my schedule to have weekends off and hope for some time off over the holidays, not the other way around.
To be honest, I'd rather have .3% more quality and cheer in my life all year than one day of "manufactured" happiness...
But, to those of you who do feel something special because ________ holiday is here or near, well please have enjoy it!
All I ask in return is don't get pissy or offended if I don't wish you a (happy, merry, joyous, soltive)________ (Christmas, Channukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Festivus)__________ in return.
