We just got back from visiting Sue and Jay in NH. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. And yes, it's true, everything IS better in Keene! Hopefully next time we go up, there will be time to check out all the shops along the square!
The first day we were there, we went to Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, one of the coolest places I've ever been. I posted a bunch of pictures on Flickr, so click to see them! The we had pizza and subs for dinner.
Tuesday we just hung around the house and weeded the garden, cruised through Keene and went to Target and picked up stuff for dinner. The girls are in love with Sue and Jay's cat, Sphynx. He is soooo nice! I made macaroni for dinner. Yum! How I've missed cooking!
Wednesday was pretty chaotic. Leah broke a lamp quite early in the morning (AAAARGH!) so we went to the playground in the morning to get the kids out of the house and burning up some energy. After a quick lunch, Leah took an early nap. Sue had to go to the dentist in the afternoon, so I took the girls for a walk on the hiking trails in the park. Dana napped in the stroller while Leah walked, then when Dana woke up, Leah rode back to the park. Everyone was so nice and friendly, even their dogs! We had fruit snacks and juice on a huge stone bench, then walked to the front of the park to meet Sue. I made enchiladas for dinner. Yum-o!
Today was mainly packing and making sure we had everything we could hold. It was a nice trip back and both of the girls napped. The ferry ride went by quickly and we only had to look around a little bit for Paul when we got off. He told me all about his trip to Oregon, we had dinner and I got the pictures taken care of! Yay!
