El noveno y decimo dia

yikes
freedom=over

el noveno dia:
yesterday was entertaining
after the lovely night at the bar
i got up in the morning to leave oaxaca
to avoid the mega marcha de los profesores

so we finally left around 12
after a bunch of delays
it ended up being me
edgar, the driver
and these three guys traveling together
who were quite the odd trio
one reminded me of a frat boy
one dressed goth
and the other was just interesting

so the excitement really began
when we got back to mexico city
and the zocalo (central square with palace and cathedral)
was blocked off
they had a huge campaign rally last night
for lopez obragon, one of the top candidates
for the election

so it was around 815 or so
and i had to walk back a few blocks
by myself to hostal moneda
where i found out they had no room
(cause i came back a day early, i had no reservation)
so i had to go out again
and ended up in el hotel catedral
in a 37 dollar room
i was just thankful for the room
but it was gorgeous
tv, private bathroom, etc.
ahh the life

el decimo dia:
today was good
cause i moved back into hostel moneda
and then went museuming again

first, it was off to
el museo dolores olmedo patiño
(not sure if i spelled that right)
which was fabulous
full of rivera works
and a room of kahlos
made me very happy

after leaving there
i went to el estudio de rivera y kahlo
which is the two houses connected one
that was a little disappointing
because they did not have a lot to see
but i am glad that i got to see the house itself

now for packing and laundry
cause tomorrow i am off to guanajuato...
