Summary: Takaki Yuya asked Arioka Daiki to help him reject Valentine Chocolates in an unexpected way. lame, I know
A/N: Italicized parts are things that goes on the speaker's mind. For this chapter, it's mainly Daiki's. Sorry for confusion.
“Daichan, go out with me.”
Daiki was shocked with the sudden “confession” of his childhood friend whom he secretly loves.
“Where are we going?” He asked innocently. He can’t afford to misunderstood him then be mocked.
“That’s not what I’m talking about! I want you to be my lover.” The guy clarified. Daiki pinched his cheeks to make sure he isn’t dreaming.
“Before you get any weird ideas, let me explain.” He said.
Daiki just nodded.
“You see, Valentine’s is next week right? So I need to you to act as my lover. Please?” He explained?
“I know Valentine’s is next week but I had no freaking idea why do I have to act as your lover, Takaki Yuya.” He told him.
“Daichan , you’re smart. I know you understand what I’m trying to say here.”
“I don’t.”
“Daichan! Onegai?” And he made this puppy eyes which is slowly working to the penguin, but the latter made sure to resist.
“I don’t understand what you’re trying to tell me. Explain or this conversation is over.”
“Okay, okay. You see, I don’t want to get anymore chocolates this Valentine’s that’s why I need a lover so those girls won’t give those chocolates. It’s a hassle carrying them to home just to be tossed in the trash because you know I don’t like sweets and I’m not mean enough to reject them. And you won’t eat it if I give it to you.” He explained clearly, at last.
“Because it’s for you and I’m not your chocolate-eater.” ‘And because those are from your admirers meaning my rivals!’ He answered the guy.
“And you’re saying that you’re not mean enough to reject them but you’ve got the guts to throw their gifts? How kind Yuya, really.” He added.
“It’s not like they know that I just throw it! All they know and want to know is that I accepted it. And that’s not the case here Daichan. As you said, what I’m doing is mean but that’s only because I have chocolates to throw. If I have a lover, no chocolates, nothing to throw.” He said with a confident smile like saying he’s got a wonderful idea.
“I get it. But why does it have to be me? You could just ask one of those girls.”
“They won’t believe it! And it might ‘cause trouble to whoever the girl might be.”
“And you’re thinking that you won’t be causing trouble to me? And you’re thinking that they will believe it if it’s the same sex?!” He asked with one eyebrow up.
“Yes! Because you’re my childhood friend and they knew it. So it’ll trick them into thinking that we’ve been in love with each other since a long time ago which is not really true.” He elaborated and the last part struck Daiki, hard.
“Still, why would I help you?” ‘Because I’m completely aware that this is not a good game for me to play.’
“Because you’re the only one who can and you’re my childhood friend!” He said with those puppy eyes. He’s trying to trick Daiki into saying yes, again.
“I don’t want to. Just because I’m your friend doesn’t mean it’s my obligation to obey your stupid requests.”
“DAICHAN! Onegai ~” He whines and keeps his cute act which the younger really have to avoid because sooner or later, he’ll give in.
“NO. And this conversation is over.” He firmly said as he picks up his bento box and started his way towards the rooftop door. Staying a little longer might make him change his mind.
“Matte Daichan! I’ll give you something in exchange!” That made him stop and turn to look at him.
“Like what?”
“Uhm... uhm... AH! Pocky! I’ll treat you to Pocky everyday, during our act!” He said with a smile. Oh yeah, he’s his beloved childhood friend after all. That smile that he like and Pocky the guy knows he can’t resist. He returned to the place he was seated before.
“Tell me the plan.” He said. And he saw his friend smile more widely since he finally agreed. He looked away or he might end up staring at that smile.
“It’s nothing complicated, really. Just when the bell rings, we’re a couple!” He answered and Daiki gave him a confused look.
“But Valentine’s is next week. Why now?”
“Daichan, are you really smart?”
“Tell me or forget that I agreed.” He’s starting to get irritated on why Takaki just can’t get into the point.
“Just kidding. Simple because, if I acquire a lover just a day or two before Valentine’s, they’ll realized that it’s just a joke. So we have to start early!”
“Oh.” He got his point and he thinks it’s a little, just a little, amazing for him to be able to realize that.
“Okay. As long as it means I’ll get my pocky today and onwards until this ends. So, when will it end?” ‘It’s better to ask, so I know how long I’ll endure this tricky game.’
“Maybe, also a week after the Valentine’s. So it will not be obvious that you’re just my Valentine Lover. Nee?”
“Two weeks, I see. WAIT! I HAVE TO ACT FOR TWO WEEKS?!” It maybe short but it’s not for Arioka Daiki. He’s secretly harboring feelings for this guy and acting as a lover for that long might get him carried away and put his secret at stake.
“But you know the reason why it has to be that long! Please Daichan, aren’t you happy? You’ll get free Pocky for two weeks?” And there goes he’s puppy eyes again.
“Okay. Okay. But! I have my rules. No holding hands, hugging and kissing!” ‘Better be safe.’
“What kind of couple doesn’t hold hands, hug and kiss, Daichan!?” ‘And, he’s right.’
“Okay. Let’s just act like how we really do with each other with the addition of holding hands. That’s all! Definitely, no kissing!” He re-write, re-said, etc. the rules.
“Don’t worry. I won’t unless you want me too.” He said, teasing the latter now since he already got what he wanted. And he started his way to the rooftop door.
“Daichan! Remember when the bell rings!” Those were his last words as Daiki lost sight of him.
‘Oh Kami-sama, please let me through this tricky game without any mistakes.’ And a little bit later after he said his prayers…
“RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!”

I'm sorry but as I have said before, I'm still new to this.
And this chapter focuses on how things will go.
As I'm writing this, things that will be possible questions rose up to me.
Like what if the readers will be confuse and ask things like , "why can't-?", "why don't he just-?" and so, so.
That's why I ended up explaining things here >.<
