As if to spite the dilapidated structures and lack of electricity flowing through the wires, the sun shone brightly down upon Fandom, lighting the world from the Causeway to the Preserve in its deadly rays. Where there was light, there was safety for the survivors...but the light wouldn't last.

Unless you're planning on scaling the walls, this is the only place to get in or out of the dorms. A running list of the deceased is displayed prominently along the lobby's walls, both in remembrance, and as a way for everyone to check for new names before inviting anyone else inside.

Early morning found Zero pacing the lobby, waiting for any stragglers from those crazy brave enough to venture out the night before, ready to welcome them back with a smile and congratulations on surviving one more night or try to stop the bleeding and scream for a medic as necessary.

Early morning brought Kerrigan to the same stupid chunk of wall she ever did. She combed a hand through her hair, her smile slight but honest. "Hey, Harriet," she started, "It was a long night last night. You know how it runs, right?"

She'd be here for a while, talking to a piece of paper. Yeah.

The school is still standing as a testament to how things should have been, even now that it's vampire territory. Be on your guard, because you never know who might be lurking around.

There was something to be said for the school, with its necroshielded windows and its many twisting rooms. If nothing else, it allowed Ender a safe haven during the day, far from the annoyance of the other vampires.

It wasn't that he was doing much in the way of science - most of what he'd tried had fallen short of anything due to a lack of electricity. It was a good place to be, though, between the charts, and he spent his day strolling in and out, covering the hallways of the third floor with a silent presence.

She spent a lot of time in the library; she always did, as if another round of searching would yield the information she wanted about some way to bring her Anakin back. She hadn't succeeded yet, but she had the power of the dark side at her disposal and an indefinite lifespan.

Which didn't mean Tahiri wasn't impatient. She always had been, after all. But she could keep searching.

The once-thriving town might be mostly deserted, but there's still some places to be out and about, if you're careful to be home before the sun goes down.

Alex needed to shave. He needed a haircut. He needed some sleep but, instead, he was taking advantage of the few hours of respite he--they--had and was in town, trying to be helpful. It was more turning into a self pitying moping session but in between bouts of depression, he was looking for bits of wood or anything that looked handy for a weapon.

Her body was on the roof, but Raven's Soul-Self flew over the town. A huge black shadow-raven was hard to hide during daylight hours, but she did not mind. She was not looking to hide herself; she was searching for any in need of her gifts.

Oh look, the sun didn't bother Bel. He could still leave the vampires' lair and walk around the town, looking for anyone foolish enough to be wandering alone. He could bring dinner home to Veronica or one of his other vampire "friends," or maybe a gift for Zoe, because he was totally not above currying her favor.

Veronica's least favorite thing about being a vampire was her inability to go out during the day. Especially in the middle of summer. She missed the beach.

Her room had some faded posters hanging on the walls that featured beach scenes but it wasn't the same.
