It was like the sun had forgotten to rise over the isle of Fandom. The sky was filled with such dark storm clouds that it was nearly black as night. Unless you're planning on scaling the walls, this is the only place to get in or out of the dorms. A running list of the deceased is displayed prominently along the lobby's walls, both in remembrance, and as a way for everyone to check for new names before inviting anyone else inside.

The weather outside wasn't foreboding, or anything.

With a deep breath, Arthur went up to the lists and hung up two pieces of paper.

One read simply,

ASSAULT AT DUSK TONIGHT
Gather outside Town Hall before sunset
Bring your strongest weaponry
This is the final push
We will fight for our homes.

Arthur sometimes had a sense of the poetic about him, really.

The second piece of paper held a list.

REPORT FOR SPECIAL DUTY:
Zero Hopeless-Savage
Lindsay Boxer
Rose Hathaway
Jennifer Walters
Anakin Skywalker
Sarah Kerrigan
Irulan Atreides
Piper Halliwell

He would have put Zack's name on it, but it'd be safer to escort the vampire down to the school himself. Arthur paused by the papers a short while longer, then left to prepare.

After a few minutes, Arthur did in fact return to the lists to scrawl a quick, We have the means to wipe out the vampires all at once, but we must get them as far outside as possible. For further questions, see your leaders, underneath the first.

Because Triela was not Arthur's biggest fan. And, obviously, she was a better tactician than him.

"It's not your responsibility to tell everyone what to do." Someone was cranky. Probably the lack of sleep recently.

And getting enough hints from her other self's notes that somewhere in some universe she actually liked this pompous... guy.

Triela really, really wanted to hit him. But he was at least competent in a fight, and they didn't need to lose that before a major offensive.

She she just bit back on an incoherent scream and threw her hands up in exasperation.

Kerrigan had nearly passed by the new papers in search of Harriet's name on the list, but...

She came to a stop in front of it, took a pull off her cigarette, and snorted once to herself before turning to head upstairs. She needed to get her armor.

And maybe to snag Nate, just in case.

Even in an alternate universe, Rose couldn't manage to raise an eyebrow at her name on the list. But she still eyed it and the call to arms curiously for a long moment before turning to go prepare. Or patrol. Possibly they were both the same.
