Singita Boulders Lodge, South Africa, Monday [Morning and Early Afternoon]

The sun rose over the lodge in a stunning display of colors though without the musical accompaniment at way too early in the morning, but everyone was up anyway, right? It was time for the very first game drive around the park, and an early start was necessary to see the animals at the watering holes.

Each suite comes with a private, heated swimming pool, a double-sided fireplace, a private lounge, and a game-viewing deck. Yes, the animals come close enough to see from your rooms. No, you can't feed your roommate to a lion.

Mitchell had had to book a trip down from Barry Island to get here-- which meant he hadn't arrived until relatively late last night. He'd acquired his suite key and snuck into Bo's room, where he'd promptly collapsed on the bed.

Where he still was that morning, snoring gently.

"Keep that up and if you get any pancakes." Not that there were pancakes yet or that Bo was even out of bed. But there were going to be pancakes. Eventually. Once she decided it was worth stretching to reach the phone.

"Waffles? Crepes stuffed with Belgian truffles?" Someone had studied the room service menu last night. "This place is ridiculous."

"Pancakes," Mitchell said, once he'd taken his face out of the pillow. "They have leopard-print," he said.

Just because he was now awake didn't mean he was sensible.

"Leopard-print pancakes?" That at least got Bo energized enough to reach for said room service menu, because she was perfectly willing to believe that was the case. "I want those."

"I mean they have leopard-print everything," Mitchell said, turning over... and immediately muttering, "Eugh," and hiding his face back under the blankets.

"True that. I didn't say they they had ridiculously good taste." Bo eyed the blankets in question before turning back to the menu. "No leopard print pancakes but apparently they'll do chocolate swirl."

"Sounds good to me," said the heap of blankets. "George's been on a vegan spree lately."

Which was as good an explanation as any.

"...He's a werewolf. Doesn't he eat a whole damn chicken every month?" Or something; Bo was a little hazy on the details of what George and Nina did with the chicken, and, as open-minded a succubus as she might be, didn't particularly want to ask.

"Oh, he hasn't actually gone vegan," Mitchell said, his face slowly becoming visible again under the stacks of blankets. "He just believes it's a challenge."

Mitchell did not sound particularly impressed. More desperate, really.
