Jarod wasn't sleeping. Not that he ever slept much, but the thoughts of his mother and Parker's mother knowing each other, and all the implications were keeping him awake that night.
He stared at Parker from across the room, where he sat in an armchair, watching the moonlight fall on the photographs in his hands. Jarod didn't understand how Parker didn't hate him--since, to his mind, Parker's mother was murdered because she was trying to save him from The Centre. Jarod wasn't sure if Parker would ever forgive him for that.

"Morning," Rory said around a cruller. "You know, I'm kind of glad we're going home today, as selfish as that sounds. Less harrowing in Fandom, y'know?"

Yelling.
The table was set for three, but no one was there. The candles weren't lit.
"Don't-- please, stop, you're hurting--"
Maureen walked towards the door.
Parker shuddered, and tried to move in her sleep.
More yelling. A thud. Someone crying.
Dread, pervasive and creeping, and another flash of lightening as the rain pounded on the roof.
Shuddering, Parker tried to wake up, but couldn't.

"C'mon, time to wake up. It's not real."

And of course, there was a huge, huge cup of coffee.

"Morning," she said to Rory, a little sleepily.
