Today had been an excellent day: massages, a bit of shopping, being an amazing friend to Ben and Tahiri regardless of how they saw it. In all, Karla was feeling quite pleased with herself.

Which was why she'd decided to surprise her boyfriend this evening.

"Kiss kiss," she called. "Room service!"

Warren? Totally a fan of room service. He grinned as he folded his wings carefully behind him and pulled on his coat, just for the sake of not freaking out anybody else who might be wandering the hallway, before opening the door and smiling out at the one on the other side of it.

"How did you know that I was hoping to see a Karla delivered right to my door today?"

"Black Widows are the caste of prophecy, of course," Karla said, giving him a crooked smile in return. "And since I've seemed to make it make day of making wishes come true, why shouldn't I show up at your door?"

Ben and Tahiri might argue over the whole 'wishes come true thing,' but, again, stubborn.

"Besides, I've come bearing gifts."

"Even better," Warren laughed, stepping out of the way as he held the door open, gesturing for her to make herself comfortable inside. "Would it be horribly nosy of me to ask what kind of gifts you brought?"

Besides her usual radiant self, of course.

"You can ask," Karla said, dimpling. "But I'm not going to tell you."

Not if she could show him instead.

And since apparently this was a day for her stealing carts from the hotel staff, she pulled one into Warren's room. On it was a large pot of melted chocolate and whole platters of fresh fruit.

Including pineapple, yes.

"You're always feeding me," she told him. "I thought it might be fun to return the favor."

Warren's mouth fell open a little as she pulled the cart into the room, yes. When she'd announced room service, he hadn't expected there to be actual room service involved, after all. He let out a short chuckle as he pulled the door shut behind her, and then shrugged out of his coat.

"You're too good to me, you know that?"

He didn't want to wear that coat a second longer than he absolutely had to. Not when he could be folding his wings around her and giving her a pineapple appetizer, to ready the palette.

See? And this was why Warren got spoiled. Because his pineapples were even better than chocolate.

Karla wound her arms around his neck and laughed. "I should bring you fruit more often," she said.

See? Her plans were always brilliant.

"Even if you just bring me you, I can take care of the fruit," Warren replied, leaning forward and giving her another kiss for good measure.

Sweetest pineapple in the world, that.

"I like the company much more than the fruit, after all."

"I do like surprising and spoiling you on occasion, though," Karla said, moving to trail kisses down his jawline. "I decided that today should be a Warren spoiling day."

Emma had mentioned that strawberries dipped in chocolate counted as decadent. Karla decided that Warren could use a little decadent spoiling in his life. And thus, here she was.

Possibly in pretty new underthings. Just saying.

Oh. Oh, that was nice. Warren closed his eyes and leaned his head back as she kissed, grinning lopsidedly.

"Warren spoiling days," he decided, his voice dropping down to something lower and a little breathier than usual, "are some of my favorite days."

They were up there with Karla spoiling days, which were often Warren spoiling days as a happy coincidence!

"Then I'll just have to institute more of them, won't I?" Karla murmured, moving down to the column of his throat. "I like spoiling Warren, I think."

She nipped his throat and smiled up at him. "Can I offer you something?" She ducked over to the cart and dipped a strawberry into the chocolate a few times and then held it out to him. She'd move onto pineapples, of course, but something about the color and the shape...

"Hungry?"

Strawberries were, indeed, pretty damn decadent. And... Well. It went beyond decadent, when it came down to it. Especially if there was chocolate involved and it was being offered by Karla, Warren decided.

"Very," he replied. And then, the thing to do at that point seemed to be to lean forward and press his lips against the fruit she was holding. Because if she was offering, well...

[Bedtime for me! SP is yaaaaay?]

"Good."

Okay, yeah. Karla was so going to owe Emma for this. She gasped, a little, when Warren took the strawberry from her fingers and she bit her lower lip.

She leaned against him a little and smiled up into his eyes. "More?"

[Sp is looooove]

"In just a moment," Warren decided, smiling back for only a second before leaning forward and kissing her again. There was chocolate on his tongue, and strawberry juice lingering on his lips, and that made that moment in particular seem like an excellent one for another kiss.

Decadent, indeed.

Mmm. A most excellent time, actually. The stawberries and chocolate were delicious by themselves, but kissing them off his lips and tongue just made it all the sweeter.

Almost of their own volition, her hands reached out and tugged at his shirt. It was a handsome shirt and looked good on him, she just couldn't help but think it might look better opened. Or...over there. You know, elsewhere. Just saying.
