Between yesterday's hiking and partying, Emma was perfectly happy to spend some quality time in the hot tub today, just relaxing.

Since he'd gone rafting yesterday, Hannibal decided to take a little easier for the first part of today by swimming some laps in the pool.

Okay, so Jak had been thinking of going on that canoe thing today, but first he had to check out the pool, since he'd actually been too preoccupied with a lot of adrenaline over the past few days to really make work of anything.

Which found him in sky-blue shorts at the edge of the pool, his feet dangling in the water. Oh yeah.

Dinah had gotten into the habit of swimming in the morning, then doing something else in the afternoon. She was thinking she might just laze around today after yesterday's rafting adventure, but she still ended up at the pool.

"Hey, you," she said, sitting down next to Jak and bumping him with her arm.

Jak immediately grinned, turning his head to look at her. Bumped her back with his own arm. Hey. At his most suave, yes.

But cute! Especially in those shorts!

Dinah tried to refrain from ogling, and mostly managed. "Having fun?" she asked, kicking her feet in the water. She bumped his shoulder again, and sent, We should go dancing, before we get back. There's a floating party some nights. And she sent an image of people dancing at the staff party.

... Jak wasn't much of a dancer. Well, he was a dancer. It just tended to involve a lot more boogie-ing and victory music and those people were just a little intimidating-looking. Not that he'd say so, though.

The rafting was great, he sent back, bumping her shoulder and maybe doing some ogling of his own. Guess the party wouldn't be so bad...

Dinah giggled, then rolled her eyes at herself. "I got dunked yesterday," she said aloud, "doing that. Brrrrrrrrrr." She shuddered and then tapped his foot with hers. Mostly I hang out and watch, I'm no way that coordinated. I just sway usually.

I'm pretty good at some dancing, Jak said, although the emphasis on some kind of communicated that it wasn't, uh, that kind of dancing. Afraid of being dunked?

"No!" Dinah protested, laughing. "Just don't want to catch a cold, bleah. Jaime and everyone else on the raft had to fish me out." She'd so do it again, though. "We could just dance how we want to?" she said consideringly. "I don't think anyone will care." She bumped his shoulder again and sent, It'd just be nice to dance. With you.

Hey, Jak wasn't blushing, this time. This was progress.

He was, however, leaning into her just a little, moving his arm to curve around her waist. A little carefully, still. Yeah, we'll... figure it out.

Dinah assisted by leaning into him, and scooting a couple inches closer. There. That worked. She grinned at him and sent, We should go mountain biking before we go back too. Yay adrenaline!

Which was not supposed to be an aphrodisiac, it just was, for Dinah anyway.

There was something to be said for contented, connected hanging out, too, though. Dinah lifted her hand to tangle her fingers with Jak's, resting on her waist. Bet I can beat you, though. Even if I owe Kennedy drinks for beating me.

Jak was easy. And dealing with maybe a little testosterone-infused smug here, considering that he had a pretty girl in a swimsuit hanging all over him. No canoes today?
