Not quite as good as the beach, but some people like it.

The main pool is what all the FH rooms look out on so wave to your classmates and chaperones while patronising the poolside bar.

There are plenty of pool toys as well as a jacuzzi and many, many chairs to lay out on.

Ron was completely covered up today and sitting in the shade in order to protect himself from getting additional sunburn. Any move he made was accompanied by a whimper.

Mac wandered past, towel dangling from her arm, as she went to find somewhere to sit.

She paused as she got to Ron, giving him a mildly puzzled look. "Are you okay?"

"Sunburn," Ron mumbled as he tried to find a comfortable position to sit. "I apparently spent five minutes in direct sunlight yesterday."

"Ouch." Mac frowned in sympathy. A pale girl, who lived in California, she knew sunburn.

"I... think I have some aftersun, if you want?" she offered, pointing at the bag slung across her shoulder.

"What's that?" Ron asked shifting again. "Some sort of charm?"

Mac blinked. "Not exactly," she replied slowly.

She stopped, digging into her bag for a minute before presenting him with the bottle. "Seventeen years of living in Southern California, and I learned to keep some around."

"I'll have to remember that next time I go anywhere," Ron said taking the bottle gratefully. "Thank you. I just rub it on, right?"

"Wherever you got yourself burnt," Mac confirmed.

She shot him another sympathetic smile. "The joys of being pale, huh?"

"No kidding," Ron said returning the grin. "I'm going to be peeling for days."

"Getting it on the first day, though..." Mac shook her head with a little smile. "You couldn't have pulled it off so you at least got one pain free day of holiday?"

"Well yesterday afternoon wasn't too horrible," Ron joked. "I just didn't realize my sunblock in this weather has the half-life of ten minutes."

Mac chuckled and nodded. "There's a reason I stick to indoor activities if at all possible."

"Kind of defeats the purpose in coming here though, right?" Ron said starting to apply some of the lotion on his arms. "I wonder if they have a game room and oh my that feels good."

"The point of coming here for me, was largely because I made this target of improved sociability, and figured this was one way of going about it," Mac told him. "Not so much for the beaches and sunshine."

"Improved sociabilia-what?" Ron asked. "I thought we were here for vacation."
