The Home of Alexander Hartdegen, London - 1899 - Then Beyond

Mar 16, 2008 18:38

Alexander Hartdegen minded his own business these days. He'd lost contact with most of his friends during the frenzied years while he built his time machine. Making contact again was too hard for most, so he kept to himself and tinkered. Everything paled in comparison to his magnum opus, the pinnacle of his work as a scientist, but it kept him busy ( Read more... )

As soon as John and Sam got the message telling them to go to London, they dropped everything they were doing and began gathering the money for tickets to take a boat overseas. For the Winchesters, that meant hustling and stealing every penny they could from the fine citizens of New York City. Sam made sure he said goodbye to Lana before they left, and used what was left of the money he'd taken to buy a few small souvenirs before they headed off to London, and home.

Lana arrived hurriedly at the correct address after a great deal of soul searching. God, she hoped she wasn't too late!

Richie had had a really shitty time in the past. After the fire, he'd spent a lot of time freaking out and getting some fun new memories.

A really long nap sounded like a great idea. He had some random objects from the time, and might have put some money into a longterm savings account. What? He deserved some compensation for all this. It could pay for his therapy.

Barbossa had liked New York. Easy pickings, money flowing, being the only one in the city who knew how to make decent rum...but one thing had led to another and eventually the Corleones had figured out that Barbossa hadn't exactly been giving them all the money he said he had.

He used that cash to purchase the Heidy Ho IV and got to London just as fast as he could.

He wasn't running from the mob, per se. He was making a strategic retreat.

When he'd gotten the notice about a way to get home -- a way to sleep, agelessly, through the decades -- Troy panicked, first: how was he going to get to London?

Apparently, by auditioning for a show over there. He lucked out: a couple of days after he got the information, he found an audition for a show in the West End -- a production that would pay for his way over, if he decided to go. It was the perfect opportunity to get over there, to get home.

Of course, after the best audition of his life, it kind of sucked that he was going to pass up the opportunity to be in the show... but getting home was more important. A boat ride later, he was in London, and then headed back to the present.
