Veronica had been out all day, working a case.

She returned home, completely oblivious to the fact that they had company.

"Please tell me there is coffee?"

"I think there's some in the pot left." Alanna said casually from her new spot on the couch.

"Thanks."

Veronica started walking to the kitchen. Then she stopped and turned to look at the person on the sofa.

"Alanna? Oh, my God! When did you get here?"

And then she was walking back over for a hug.

"This morning." Alanna said dryly. "And no, I'm not moving in."

"Well, it's good to see you anyway," Veronica said. "Did Angel forget to tell us you were visiting?"
