"You're positive this will work?" Ivanova asked again as she settled back into the Great Machine in the heart of Epsilon 3.
Zathras shrugged. "Zathras is never being positive. One of reasons Zathras is liking Ivanova so much."
She gave him a Look before taking a deep breath, focusing. "Alright. Here goes nothing." She closed her eyes and thought of Maia. They snapped open a moment later and she looked around Maia's room, hopefully in the right time and place. "Hmm. That worked . . . well . . ." Ivanova's voice trailed off as she noticed the second bed. New roommate? Well, hopefully Maia was here. It wasn't like she could leave a holographic message.
"Maia?"
