My health insurance people warned me yesterday that my insurance expires on Saturday, apparently because my fees have not been paid yet. My response: "Don't care, you guys don't cover me even when my insurance is paid for"*.
Now I think I have an idea of how things work: I am required to have health insurance to be enrolled at the university. This health insurance does not generally cover me for anything** because being enrolled at the university requires me to live in Chicago. This required, non-existent health insurance is about to become especially non-existent because my university can't figure out how to pay itself the money it owes itself.
How can people not like bureaucracies? They're a constant source of amusement for me!
