Having a conversation about gingerness just reminded me how having ginger hair has actually changed people's reactions to me.
Its either one of two things generally:
1. "Oo ginger, meow!!"
I like this one, but at the same time its sad that I get more attention than my natural hair colour ever did.
2. "GINGER PUBES!!"
Funny thing being, I'm not actually exaggerating - I have had that shouted at me various times in the street. Once, walking past somewhere with an outdoor seating area, someone stood up and shouted it. .you know just so I could see their retarded face, maybe?? I have also had "What you laughing at ginger!?"
Gingerism isn't funny though. .It's kind of pathetic that it's one of those things that general society has decided to pick on, and actually really bizzare, no? (and actually a couple of months ago, a ginger sued their boss because of discrimination against her due to her ginger hair. .and she actually got a high pay load from it. . .)
